FaithHealthNC Coordinator and Care Giver Training

FaithHealthNC will hold training sessions for Congregational Care Coordinators and Congregational Care Givers of partner congregations beginning October 21, 2014, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The trainings will be held at Bethesda United Methodist Church. Anyone interested in participating as a Coordinator or Caregiver in their congregation is welcome to attend even though you may not have committed to your congregation or your congregation has not signed a covenant. Or, if you missed a session from previous trainings, you are welcome to pick from the list below to complete your training. You are welcome to attend any of the sessions even though you have attended it previously. Please pass this information on to anyone that you know in your congregation or any other congregation that may be interested.

  • Discuss expectations of Congregational Caregiver and Caregiver Coordinator
  • Examine meaning of “Right Door”
  • Share results of community asset mapping
  • Introduce “Shared Commitment” document

Session 2, October 28: Right Time


  • Review “Shared Commitment”
  • Examine meaning of “Right Door”
  • Caregiving for different age groupings (some generational stuff)

Session 3, November 4: Ready to be Treated


  • Examine meaning of “Ready to be Treated”
  • Discuss privacy and safety matters, Presenter: Ken Hall
  • Using FaithHealthNC “Health Notes”
  • What about caregiver “boundaries?”

Session 4, November 11: Mental Health and Wellness


  • Presenter: Debbie Morton

Session 5, November 18: Not Alone
