Join us virtually on April 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. as Pam Hurley, Director for the Faith Community Health Ministry Program at Atrium Health, leads us in a discussion about the concept of how treating the whole person is deeply rooted in many religions, making churches, temples, synagogues, mosques and other places of worship natural environments for promoting better health. She will also discuss how Faith Community Health Ministry is a collaboration between Atrium Health and faith communities throughout the region that promotes health and wholeness of mind, body and spirit. Through this ministry, they honor the long held belief that faith and health are intertwined.

Pam has worked with Atrium Health for 20 years where she served as the Director for Performance Improvement and Disease Management for six years. She has been the Director for the Faith Community Health Ministry Program since 2006. The program is partnered with 135 faith-based settings in 11 counties. The program leadership team works collaboratively to promote health and wellness and facilitate access to care – encouraging wholeness in mind, body, and spirit. As a leader in the community health division, she also supports the community health priorities of Obesity, Mental Health, Access to Care, Social Determinants of Health, and Tobacco use prevention and cessation.

Pam is the past-president of the Carolinas Health Ministry Partnership (the NC/SC membership organization associated with the Health Ministries Association), past member of the executive board for Healthy Cabarrus and a member of Healthy Cabarrus.
