We are pleased to welcome back our next FaithHealth Grand Rounds speaker, Bryan Schroeder, to share with us on Wednesday, June 22 at 9 a.m. via Zoom, on Part 2 of his Climate Change Series: “Environmental Sustainability and the Healthcare Industry: Steps Taken and Future Vision.” We will hear more follow-up from his presentation on Climate Change and Health in February this year.
Bryan Schroeder is a practicing nurse at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist (AHWFB), with a community health, intensive, and emergency care background. He is also pursuing a masters in public health, with one more course to go. Upon completion of his MPH, he plans to be working on the intersection of human health and the environment, particularly the healthcare industry’s impacts on the surrounding community’s health. Bryan also is an executive member of the North Carolina Clinicians for Climate action, and serves as the Health Sciences sustainability team leader. He possesses a wealth of knowledge in this area and will start us off, in a two part series for our Grand Rounds, by sharing about the many impacts that climate change has on the health of individuals and communities.
Particularly for this Grand Rounds, Bryan will focus on sustainability efforts within our regional Wake Forest and the broader Atrium Enterprise health systems and other health system efforts.
We are excited to continue to learn from his expertise.Today, we also are hopeful that Bryan, along with Chaplain Jissan (Michelle Nicole), our unofficial sustainability officer for FaithHealth, can help us think through how our Division can be part of the solution vs. problem in terms of sustainability.
Please join us at the Zoom link below on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 9 a.m. for a presentation by our Wake Forest regional expert in this area that can help us do better in preserving our Maker’s beautiful world.
