Saturday, June 27th

9 am to 12 pm

Lexington YMCA, 119 W. 3rd Ave., Lexington

People who care for those with Alzheimer’s disease face a high level of stress, and frequently cope with exhaustion. To support these loving providers, Lexington Medical Center will hold a three-hour, interactive Alzheimer’s Caregiver Supporter Training program for caregivers and the caregivers’ friends and family who are aware of the stress caregivers are under.

At the Alzheimer’s Caregiver Supporter Training, you will:

  • Learn how to be a good Alzheimer’s patient caregiver
  • Learn how to be supportive of Alzheimer’s caregivers
  • Have questions answered
  • Discuss the true challenges faced by caregivers

This training will be held from 9 am to 12 pm at the Lexington YMCA 119 W. 3rd Ave., Lexington. Breakfast will be provided. This event is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required.

Special thanks to the Home Instead Senior Care of Lexington trainers and the Omicron Psi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., our community partner.
