Happy New Year! We hope that you have had a few moments of respite since the flurry of the holidays (and snow). We are grateful for the many ways you create sacred and healing spaces for so many in this community. As we move into the New Year, we hope you will stop by to visit with us to share ways we might better partner with you to enhance the health of our communities.
We thought the New Year might also be the time to honor your request for more conversation about clergy care. It is, of course, the time of resolutions and planning for the year. We wonder how you are caring for yourself so that you can continue to care for others. Our next clergy education event will feature Chaplain Maria Teresa Jones, Chaplain for Staff Support at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She will speak about “Nurturing Wholeness: Honoring Self While Caring for others.” She brings with her a wealth of experience and a beautiful spirit that will nurture you during our time together.
We will meet once again in the Hubbard Learning Center on the ground floor of the Sticht Center from 9-10 a.m. on Thursday, February 8th. A light breakfast will be served. I look forward to seeing you. And if we do not cross paths on the 8th, please know of our constant appreciation for your ministry of care for your members and neighbors.
