The Stakeholder Health movement is not one practice or innovation.
It is something more fundamental – based upon the belief that decent, efficient, and effective approaches to health care and health improvement are possible, if we engage partners at community scale.
Stakeholder Health: Insights from New Systems of Health
Stakeholder health is releasing their second publication; a book entitled Stakeholder Health: Insights from New Systems of Health (edited by Teresa Cutts and Jim Cochrane). This 11-chapter book, developed with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is a rich and detailed review of some of the best practices in the areas of community health improvement, clinical, and community partnerships.
This significant body of practice comes from hospitals deeply aware of the challenges involved in turning inside out and upside down, and share their experiences and emerging lessons in areas such as the social determinants of health, the use of relational information technology, models of team-based care, innovative financial models that focus on broader social returns on investment, and much more.

What is Stakeholder Health?
Stakeholder Health is a learning collaborative of over 50 health systems; a voluntary movement of people working within hospital health systems who see in the current policy environment the opportunity to address the underlying causes of poor health in their communities by strategically shifting existing resources and partnering with diverse stakeholders. This meeting is an opportunity for stakeholders on the West Coast to learn about the Stakeholder Health movement and to begin to identify opportunities for forward-leaning partnerships that fundamentally improve the health and quality of life in the communities we serve.
