How a Geriatrician Thinks About People (and it’s neither an age or disease perspective)
Wednesday, February 17 — From 10 to 11am
With Dr. Jeff Williamson
Join us virtually on February 17, 2021 at 10 am as we hear from Dr. Jeff Williamson. His practice involves both clinical care in gerontology and research involving the aging process. Williamson’s work and wisdom are especially pertinent to demographic shifts in the United States and our centers of faith. As our congregations age, how can we promote health among those we serve? What is normal aging, and what are warning signs that deserve intervention? Please join us as we discuss these issues and respond to your questions about aging.
Dr. Williamson is Professor and Section Chief of Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He is also Program Director of the Sticht Center for Healthy Aging and Alzheimer’s Prevention as well as Director of the Center for Health Care Innovation.
This free event is provided by the FaithHealth Division of Wake Forest Baptist Health, including CareNet Counseling and the Center for Congregational Health.
